Bacchus Collection Red Wines
Bouchaine's Bacchus Collection Wines are available primarily winery-direct. Our Bacchus Wine Club Members receive first priority, when new releases are shipped to members. After that, these exclusive small-lot wines are available through the tasting room, on our website, or by phone. In some instances, a very small quantity is made available to one of our favorite restaurants or retailers in the Napa Valley area or a select city.
2011 Bouchaine Estate Pinot Meunier  NEW RELEASE!
Bright fruits greet the nose with fresh plum, raspberry, boysenberry and strawberry jam. Deliciously fresh and juicy flavors of cranberry and pomegranate are balanced by roasted aromas of cola nut and hints of bay laurel. Pinot Meunier as a varietal offers earthiness to sparkling wines and that character is revealed in the still wine. The 2011 Meunier is a little different from our previous vintages. Along with the typical dark fruit and classic Carneros balsam overtones is a subtle green olive-like background note.

2012 Bouchaine Rose of Syrah, Sonoma Coast Rockin' H Vineyard  NEW RELEASE!
Nothing says summer like Bouchaine's Rosé of Syrah! This new release always sells out so order your summer stash today. Don’t be fooled by sweet associations to other beverages of this hue. This Rosé is all about grapefruit, watermelon and strawberry flavors balanced with sprightly acidity. A lovely wine for summertime salads, it’s also a natural with slightly more substantial items such as crab-advocado hand roll, even grilled-seasoned pork sandwiches.

2011 Sonoma Coast Rockin' H Pinot Noir
The Sonoma Coast Rockin’ H pinot is arguably our sturdiest Pinot; always the first grapes in; always ripe even in the coldest years assured by its western exposure on the banks of the Petaluma River. There is always a foundation of black cherry-like fruit. The wine is faintly scented by the line of eucalyptus trees bordering the vineyard. Add sweetness from a generous tenure in new toasted oak barrels. The wine is still young so give it some time to open up. You might even find it more flavorful the next day.

2010 Bouchaine Terraces Estate Pinot Noir  INAUGURAL RELEASE!
The Estate Terraces curl around the northeastern slopes of the landmark Garretto Hills featured on our label. Replanted with Pinot Noir in 2004 our smug anticipation had begun to wither. Then in 2010 it hit. The character we had imagined at the beginning showed itself; six tough years to finally sink roots deep into these exposed northern benches. This new bottling captures the savory side of Carneros. It’s no simple fruit bomb. You will note a more serious aspect in the dark and brooding forest floor undertones sparring with pomegranate and cranberry essence. It’s a wine for the season with flavors that should merge magically with juniper, sage, and bay flavors of holiday dishes.

2010 Bouchaine Gee Vineyard Pinot Noir
Our 2010 Gee Pinot Noir is the harbinger of fall, wonderful to pour while wrapping up in the first warm sweater. The dark color hints of the richness to come. Concentrated cranberry and tart cherry flavors combine with dusty sage and a piney, resinous kick reminiscent of a carpet of pine needles in a California rain forest, waiting for the first fall rains. Pepper and a faint hint of wood smoke dance on a lingering finish.

2010 Sonoma Coast "Rockin 'H" Syrah
The Bouchaine Vineyards Sonoma Coast Syrah from the Rockin’ H Ranch has become a standard in the Bouchaine portfolio. The Sonoma Coast Syrah consistently delivers a truly exceptional wine, one that accurately expresses the best characteristics of this varietal — structured, savory, and smoky.
