Bacchus Collection Red Wines
Bouchaine's Bacchus Collection Wines are available primarily winery-direct. Our Bacchus Wine Club Members receive first priority, when new releases are shipped to members. After that, these exclusive small-lot wines are available through the tasting room, on our website, or by phone. In some instances, a very small quantity is made available to one of our favorite restaurants or retailers in the Napa Valley area or a select city.

2009 Bouchaine Gee Vineyard Pinot Noir  New Release!
This single vineyard wine, a sought-after favorite of Bouchaine Bacchus Wine Club members and those in-the-know, comes only from the dry-farmed (non-irrigated) Gee Vineyard. The Gee Vineyard is a small 16-acre property across the road from the winery, where the rare practice of dry farming has been in use for many years. It produces small yields of grapes with uncommonly concentrated flavors. We then coax the wine into a beauty sleep in French oak barrels for approximately 11 months, which enhances the already-complex flavors even further. Less than 250 cases of this wine are produced each year, and only in those vintages where the wine is simply exceptional will it be released as its own bottling.

2009 Bouchaine Estate Reserve Pinot Meunier
Youthful and fruity, but poised and approachable as well, the 2009 Pinot Meunier delivers dark, blueberry-like fruit made more intriguing by a touch of smoke. A subtle floral expression adds a layer of complexity to this wine, hinting of dried rose petals and violets on the nose. A delightful varietal that showcases the prettiness of Pinot Noir: cherries and fruit, earthiness and a faintly smoky undertone. 2011 Ultimate Wine Challenge—91 Points, Excellent & Highly Recommended 2011 Critics Challenge International Wine Competition— Silver Medal 2011 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition— Silver Medal

2009 Sonoma Coast "Rockin' H" Pinot Noir
One of the famous single vineyard Pinot Noirs produced by Michael Richmond, the pioneer of California Pinot Noir. This limited-release 2009 Rockin' H Pinot Noir is handcrafted from a selection of the most dramatic vineyard blocks to yield the most expressive wine possible. A striking and vivid Pinot Noir layered with intense, bright cherries, berries, and a lingering finish with a mouth feel like velvet and rose petals. Offering depth and power, balanced with grace and elegance, this wine shows off the exuberant nature of Bouchaine Vineyards. A very sexy wine to share with friends.

2008 Sonoma Coast "Rockin' H" Pinot Noir -  SOLD OUT!
Masculine and brooding, Bouchaine's Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir contrasts with the more elegant nature of our native Carneros Pinot Noir.  Met head-on with its focus and power, Winemaker Mike Richmond used his Carneros sensibilities to sculpt dark berry, black cherry and leather character from a one-dimensional to a multi-faceted gem.  This extravagant wine was harvested from Hendricks Vineyard Rockin' H Ranch on the Sonoma Coast.  The eleven year old Pinot Noir vines are Dijon clones 667 and 777 on 101-14 rootstock.  The wine was barrel aged, and 30% of the barrels were new Trust Cooperage Hungarian oak.
