Bouchaine Bacchus Collection Wines
Bouchaine Bacchus Collection Wines
Exclusive wines usually limited to 200-300 cases produced, these wines are released first to our Bacchus Club members, then available only from the winery or on our website. Due to the small production of these wines, this collection is not nationally distributed, but may be available at a handful of restaurants in our Napa Valley community or favorite retailers in select areas.
2012 Bouchaine Las Brisas Vineyard Riesling
NEW RELEASE!
This wine is a paean to spring. It is redolent of white flower blossoms and a light balance that begets indulgence. This wine has a nice development of the classic petrol nose and faintly grapefruit-like style so prized by true Riesling addicts. A lovely wine to pair with Asiago, Jarlsberg and Camembert cheese for a celebration with friends.
$23.00
2010 Bouchaine Chene d'Argent Chardonnay
Chêne d ’Argent, French for “silver oak.” is fermented in stainless steel and never sees an oak barrel. It is the essence of Chardonnay. You'll love the bright citrusy notes and enduring pineapple overtones. Compare it with the 2010 Bouche de Beurre to taste both ends of the spectrum of Bouchaine Chardonnays. This splash of freshness is a great way to celebrate the coming of Spring !
$30.00
2010 Bouchaine Bouche de Beurre Chardonnay
The cool, wet spring of 2010 gave way to a cool summer, keeping acidity high in our Chardonnay fruit and delaying harvest until the third week of October. Though we try to create an over-the-top, big fat butterball caricature of chardonnay, we are checked by the essence of Carneros. So, though much richer than our Estate Chardonnay this wine has devotees even among the non-butter fans. Aromas of apple and ripe pear greet the senses. Rich and full, this Chardonnay shows baked apple, vanilla, and a hint of brown butter. This wine was aged in 100% French Oak barrels and went through full malolactic fermentation. It’s creamy, mouth-coating texture lingers, while a touch of butterscotch graces the finish. It’s a perfect complement to fall’s hearty dishes. Enjoy this wine with a seafood feast, with bouillabaisse, or a creamy baked brie with apricots.

2011 Bouchaine Estate Pinot Meunier
NEW RELEASE!
Bright fruits greet the nose with fresh plum, raspberry, boysenberry and strawberry jam. Deliciously fresh and juicy flavors of cranberry and pomegranate are balanced by roasted aromas of cola nut and hints of bay laurel. Pinot Meunier as a varietal offers earthiness to sparkling wines and that character is revealed in the still wine. The 2011 Meunier is a little different from our previous vintages. Along with the typical dark fruit and classic Carneros balsam overtones is a subtle green olive-like background note.

2012 Bouchaine Rose of Syrah, Sonoma Coast Rockin' H Vineyard
NEW RELEASE!
Nothing says summer like Bouchaine's Rosé of Syrah! This new release always sells out so order your summer stash today. Don’t be fooled by sweet associations to other beverages of this hue. This Rosé is all about grapefruit, watermelon and strawberry flavors balanced with sprightly acidity. A lovely wine for summertime salads, it’s also a natural with slightly more substantial items such as crab-advocado hand roll, even grilled-seasoned pork sandwiches.
$23.00
2011 Bouchaine Las Brisas Vineyard Riesling
Palest gold in the glass, it beckons with tantalizing citrus blossom white flower aromas. Add a whisper of tropical fruit underneath. As the wine unfolds, one imagines the classic petrol nuance framed by intensifying sweet ruby red grapefruit essence.
$22.00
2011 Sonoma Coast Rockin' H Pinot Noir
The Sonoma Coast Rockin’ H pinot is arguably our sturdiest Pinot; always the first grapes in; always ripe even in the coldest years assured by its western exposure on the banks of the Petaluma River. There is always a foundation of black cherry-like fruit. The wine is faintly scented by the line of eucalyptus trees bordering the vineyard. Add sweetness from a generous tenure in new toasted oak barrels. The wine is still young so give it some time to open up. You might even find it more flavorful the next day.
$40.00
2011 Bouchaine Estate Pinot Gris
New Release! Pinot Gris is known for its distinctly crisp and bright flavors, and this one, from our cool and fog-covered Carneros Estate, shows citrus, apple, and nectarine flavors balanced by notable minerality.
$30.00
2010 Bouchaine Terraces Estate Pinot Noir
INAUGURAL RELEASE!
The Estate Terraces curl around the northeastern slopes of the landmark Garretto Hills featured on our label. Replanted with Pinot Noir in 2004 our smug anticipation had begun to wither. Then in 2010 it hit. The character we had imagined at the beginning showed itself; six tough years to finally sink roots deep into these exposed northern benches. This new bottling captures the savory side of Carneros. It’s no simple fruit bomb. You will note a more serious aspect in the dark and brooding forest floor undertones sparring with pomegranate and cranberry essence. It’s a wine for the season with flavors that should merge magically with juniper, sage, and bay flavors of holiday dishes.
$60.00
2010 Bouchaine Gee Vineyard Pinot Noir
Our 2010 Gee Pinot Noir is the harbinger of fall, wonderful to pour while wrapping up in the first warm sweater. The dark color hints of the richness to come. Concentrated cranberry and tart cherry flavors combine with dusty sage and a piney, resinous kick reminiscent of a carpet of pine needles in a California rain forest, waiting for the first fall rains. Pepper and a faint hint of wood smoke dance on a lingering finish.
