Bouchaine Bacchus Collection Wines Exclusive wines usually limited to 200-300 cases produced, these wines are released first to our Bacchus Club members, then available only from the winery or on our website. Due to the small production of these wines, this collection is not nationally distributed, but may be available at a handful of restaurants in our Napa Valley community or favorite retailers in select areas.

2009 Bouchaine Gee Vineyard Pinot Noir  New Release! This single vineyard wine, a sought-after favorite of Bouchaine Bacchus Wine Club members and those in-the-know, comes only from the dry-farmed (non-irrigated) Gee Vineyard. The Gee Vineyard is a small 16-acre property across the road from the winery, where the rare practice of dry farming has been in use for many years. It produces small yields of grapes with uncommonly concentrated flavors. We then coax the wine into a beauty sleep in French oak barrels for approximately 11 months, which enhances the already-complex flavors even further. Less than 250 cases of this wine are produced each year, and only in those vintages where the wine is simply exceptional will it be released as its own bottling.   $60.00

Bouchaine Vineyards lies on the Southern border of Napa Valley, adjacent to the Napa-Sonoma Marsh State Wildlife Area. This unique geographical location, shoulder-to-shoulder with brackish water ponds that house western meadow larks, red-winged black birds and a variety of owls and hawks, inspires our commitment to preserving our local wildlife and avian neighbors. In 2004, our vineyards became the first property to attain the Fish Friendly Farming and Napa Green Farming certifications through the Napa Valley Vintners Association and the California Land Stewardship Institute.   $30.00

2009 Bouchaine Estate Reserve Pinot Meunier   Youthful and fruity, but poised and approachable as well, the 2009 Pinot Meunier delivers dark, blueberry-like fruit made more intriguing by a touch of smoke. A subtle floral expression adds a layer of complexity to this wine, hinting of dried rose petals and violets on the nose. 2009 Bouche De Beurre Reserve Chardonnay  New Release! Bouche de Beurre refers to the richness of this limited release Chardonnay. Bouchaine’s winemaker, Michael Richmond, has made Chardonnay in Napa Valley and Carneros for almost 30 years, and has always been intrigued by the versatility of Chardonnay. He feels that Chardonnay lends itself to being styled or seasoned more than any other varietal, but that the underlying quality of the vineyard source and the characteristics of the terroir are vastly important. As he explains, "I feel that Chardonnay from Carneros receives the oak more gracefully versus fruit from warmer climates, and that's why this wine, even with the 100% new oak treatment and full malolactic fermentation, is exceptionally well-integrated between texture and flavor."
