Whether you're a lifelong Pinot fan or are just delving into the tantalizing world of Pinot Noirs, Pinot Days events bring together a range of Pinot producers and lovers for an exciting day of tastings! Our 2009 Grape Blessing Ceremony
What a day! Thank you to the members of the public who joined the Bouchaine family for our annual grape blessing ceremony! We welcomed the first fruit of the season with toasts to Bacchus and gratitude to Mother Nature. This year, we also welcomed the "Prince of Wine" Walid Romaya, who was on site with his production crew filming the event for his TV show about wine and winemaking (tentatively titled "Prince of Wine," of course). When Bouchaine's winemaker Michael Richmond challenged Walid to kick off his shoes and jump into a grape bin to do some stomping (completely unscripted and impromptu!), Walid didn't hesitate, and it turned into an opportunity for onlookers to jump in as well! What an amazing and memorable way to kick off the 2009 harvest and crush! To see more pictures, please join Bouchaine's fan page on Facebook (search Bouchaine Vineyards).
A Festival to Remember! Save the Date for 2010
The fourth annual Festival del Sole-Napa Valley classical music extravaganza took place July 17-25, 2009 with Bouchaine and our proprietors, Gerret and Tatiana Copeland, continuing as official sponsors for the fourth straight year. Festival attendees celebrated with music, fine wine and cuisine, and art at wineries, estates and concert halls in Napa Valley. Performers included Sarah Chang, Nina Kotova, Renee Fleming, Conrad Tao, Alondra de la Parra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas, and many others among the classical music world's most acclaimed talents. Bouchaine Young Artist Series featured extraordinary young talents performing at three FREE daytime concerts at Jarvis Conservatory, Napa Valley Opera House, and The Carneros Inn. The concerts were well-attended by enthusiastic crowds! We are thrilled that the local community in Napa, the wine country, and Northern California joined Festival attendees from near and far at these performances. Congratulations to Rick Walker, IMG Artists, and many more for A Festival to Remember. Our thanks as well to the attendees, volunteers, and the Napa Valley community! We are proud to sponsor this wonderful event! Bouchaine Young Artist Concerts: Keep an eye on the career development of these talented artists!
